专家表示AI+安卓系统迎来AI技术革新 2023-12-12

Artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT will power major advances in the robotics industry and the integration of these two technologies will bring closer the era of embodied intelligence, according to speakers at an academic forum in Shanghai.
Robots have not been able to carry out complex operations, do calculations, or reason because they lack computing power and cannot process multi-modal data, Huang Xiaoqing, chairman and chief executive officer of Dataa Robotics, said at the event organized by Fudan University last week.
The problem with robotics has been an AI issue, but the rise of multi-modal AI brings direction to the robotics industry, Huang said.
Beijing-based Dataa Robotics, a leading startup in cloud intelligent robots, secured over CNY1 billion (USD139.1 million) in a Series C fundraiser in July.
Giving machines cognitive skills to enable them to have human-like abilities is inevitable, according to Xiao Yanghua, professor at Fudan University's School of Science and director of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Data Science.
For industry professionals, it has been a fantastic year since ChatGPT launched at the end of November last year, and it seems like they wake up every day to the emergence of some new technology, Xiao noted.
The future is not just about artificial intelligence-generated content, but a fusion of mature technologies, said Peng Zhen, managing partner at Shanghai Tronfund Management. Controllable nuclear fusion and room-temperature superconductivity are two directions worthy of attention, Peng pointed out.
The history of human development is the history of energy use, from steam engines to chemical energy, Peng said. Two years ago people thought something like ChatGPT was difficult to come up with in the short term, so nuclear fusion and room-temperature superconductivity can also be achieved in two to three years, much faster than thought, according to Peng.
2023 marked the explosion of generative AI and the "awakening of robots." Over the past year, well-known figures in the tech world such as Elon Musk and Jensen Huang have been betting on embodied intelligence, viewing it as the next wave in AI. ChatGPT’s creator, California-based OpenAI, also invested in a humanoid robotics startup this year.
