电池巨头宁德时代与上海城投、上海港就绿色项目展开合作 2024-09-01
Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology is teaming up with Shanghai Chengtou Group, an investment group engaged in urban infrastructure, and Shanghai International Port Group, the operator of Shanghai Port, on battery swapping, battery recycling, green shipping and other new energy projects.
Shanghai Chengtou, which mainly focuses on roads, bridges, water, environment and property, is joining forces with CATL on battery recycling, a smart energy recharging network, urban sanitation, transportation tools and pilots of peak carbon emission and neutrality, Ningde-based CATL said on its WeChat account last Thursday, citing the agreement signed by the pair last Wednesday.
Units of the two parties also penned deals last Wednesday. Chengtou Highway is teaming up with Times QiJi and Shanghai Core Times to build a heavy-duty truck battery charging and swapping network. While Chengtou Property and Brunp Recycling will join forces to promote the construction of Shanghai’s new energy vehicle and battery recycling systems.
CATL is also linking arms with Shanghai International Port Group, whose container throughput has ranked first in the world for the past 14 years, on green ports, smart ports and zero-carbon port construction.
Together, the pair will promote low-carbon energy transformation and sustainable development of the port and shipping industries through energy infrastructure construction, low-carbon logistics, recycling of used batteries, port digitalization as well as the electrification of vehicles, ships and engineering machinery.
