L'Oreal China held its inaugural campus music gala last Friday at Fudan University in Shanghai, one of China's most prestigious universities, marking a celebration of beauty, innovation, and youth empowerment.
The event themed "Magnetism of Beauty" brought together L'Oreal Group CEO Nicolas Hieronimus and thousands of students, showcasing the company's commitment to inspiring young talent.
The gala featured performances spanning the company's history and vision for the future while highlighting the 2025 Youth Fun program launch—an initiative spanning 22 years aimed at empowering youth through beauty, charity and innovation.

Key highlights of the program include the Campus Charity Sales, a flagship initiative that has engaged over 4.3 million students across 34 universities since 2004, raising over $5.5 million to support underprivileged students; Beauty Techathon, L'Oreal's first hackathon for IT students, fostering innovation in "Tech for Good" solutions with guidance from industry mentors; and the Public Relation Contest, a collaboration with the China International Public Relations Association to empower students in public relations.
"Beauty is a powerful force that has inspired people across centuries, civilizations and cultures, to be the best version of themselves. And talent will help shape the future of the beauty industry. So don't wait: build that rocket ship and let's travel this beautiful galaxy together, in search of new stars," said Hieronimus.

On the same day, L'Oreal China hosted a seminar at the university, focusing on "Tech for Good" and AI's role in boosting personal competitiveness, to empower and inspire innovators to co-create the future of beauty.
