This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city relations between Jiading District and Wolfsburg in Germany.

Gao introduced Jiading's history, economic and social development, focusing on its identities as a famous historical and cultural city, an international automobile city, a science and technology satellite city, and a comprehensive node city in the Yangtze River Delta region.
A decade ago, Jiading and Wolfsburg established sister-city ties, opening a new chapter of cross-Eurasian cooperation and joint progress between the two places.
Over the past decade, the two sides have maintained friendly exchanges, carried out a series of interactions, and the people of the two places have been closely connected.
Gao said that Jiading is willing to join hands with Wolfsburg, taking the 10th anniversary as a new starting point to deepen all-round cooperation and jointly map out a new blueprint for high-quality development.
In the field of culture and education, she hoped schools from both sides could conduct teacher-student exchanges, design courses and launch joint STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) projects.
Focusing on cutting-edge fields like next-generation automobiles, hydrogen energy equipment, intelligent manufacturing and the digital economy, they could build joint laboratories, incubation and acceleration platforms and talent training bases to facilitate cross-border flow of innovative elements and enhance industrial value together, Gao added.
Wellmann said that over the past 10 years, Jiading and Wolfsburg have continuously deepened cooperation and exchanges in education, the automotive industry and other areas, promoting mutually beneficial economic development and benefiting the people of both countries.
During the visit, he and his delegation experienced Jiading's historical and cultural heritage and witnessed the vigorous development of the district's automotive industry and scientific and technological innovation.
