中美贸易解冻,美国中小企业在进博会上达成1200万美元交易 2025-11-11

Small and medium-sized US enterprises have signed deals worth nearly USD12 million at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, a 5 percent increase from last year, after the country recently agreed to resume US soybean purchases and suspend some tariffs on US agricultural products.
Dynamite Specialty Products, an Idaho-based maker of animal nutraceuticals, got the ball rolling on Nov. 6 by inking agreements worth USD5.8 million during the opening ceremony for the US SMEs pavilion at the CIIE.
This year, the 350-square-meter pavilion shifted focus from bulk commodities to specialty and value-added goods, reflecting changing market dynamics amid ongoing trade uncertainties. Nineteen exhibitors took part, including one US state and 10 industry associations, and represented the largest US agricultural showing at the CIIE in three years.
"Our pavilion provided valuable support to American SMEs seeking to expand in or enter the Chinese market," said Eric Zheng, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. "With the largest pavilion and the highest number of exhibitors in our three years at the CIIE, we demonstrated that American companies remain committed to China."
Announced just as the CIIE opened, the deal struck between China and the United States to suspend some high tariffs for 12 months, helped generate a wave of positive sentiment throughout the expo, Zheng pointed out.
The two countries are the world's largest economies and are highly complementary, so they grow stronger when they work together in openness and trust, he added.
Some 80 percent of Wisconsin ginseng ends up in China, said Robert Kaldunski, president of the state's ginseng board. Jason Fearneyhough, executive director of the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association, noted that China's large and vibrant economy makes it critical for Western US firms to continue their partnerships there.
The five-day CIIE, the world's biggest national-level trade fair dedicated to imports, ended on Monday.
