The Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies of Tsinghua University and Horen Group, a Shanghai-based smart logistics packaging solutions provider, have jointly launched the "Industrial Green-Collar Talents Initiative" to foster synergistic development in the green supply chain industry and promote talent development in the logistics industry.
The initiative, focusing on building the G20 Cooperative Development and Global Cooperation Platform, was put forward during the G20 Entrepreneurship Roundtable 2025, which took place in Shanghai from Nov 4 to 5.
According to Gao Jian, director of the Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies of Tsinghua University, the initiative seeks to establish an international cooperation network to explore effective approaches for cultivating green skills in the industrial sector.
Gao emphasized that the plan will help upgrade global green industries by enhancing workforce skills, creating green entrepreneurial opportunities, and expanding the scale of green employment.
Horen Group, which upgraded the plan from its 2024 "Net-Zero Cycle Entrepreneurship Initiative", has already incubated dozens of green supply chain entrepreneurs in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions.
"We are building a digital collaborative platform and connecting the entire industrial chain ecosystem," Liao Qingxin, founder and CEO of Horen Group, said, "allowing users to obtain circular packaging services at lower costs and higher efficiency, and transforming the packaging usage model from 'disposable' to 'circular sharing'."
