全球首条机器人关节自动化产线在上海投产 2026-01-22
The world’s first automated production line for humanoid robot joints has officially become operational in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area on January 21.Located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, the automated production line has an initially designed annual capacity of 100,000 humanoid robot joints, with plans to upgrade to 150,000 units in the future. It is operated by Eyou Robot Technology, a leading Chinese provider of integrated servo joints.
Covering multiple processes, including assembly, testing, calibration, and quality inspection, the automated line can resolve joint products’ performance consistency issues, meet the high-precision and high-stability requirements of humanoid robots, guarantee raw material supply for the mass production of downstream robots, and reduce manufacturing costs.
As core power system and motion control components, joints directly determine robots’ precision and stability performance. Moreover, their cost accounts for nearly half of the total cost of a humanoid robot.
Eyou achieved mass production of robot joints in 2023, with sales reaching 30,000 units in 2024 and 95,000 units in 2025. Its previous robot joint production lines were semi-automated with manual assistance. The launch of the new automated line is expected to significantly boost the company’s supply capacity.
In October 2024, Eyou became the designated supplier for AgiBot’s A2 humanoid robot series. “The market demand for robot joints is substantial,” Peng Jun, marketing manager of Eyou, told Yicai. The automated mass production of robot joints is an indispensable step for the application and commercialization of robots, he added.
The global humanoid robot market is expected to achieve a compound annual growth rate of 154 percent between 2024 and 2027, which will drive demand for joints, according to market research firm TrendForce. For example, Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus has a total of 40 joint actuators.
