IN a move that will be welcomed by local farmers, the China Post Express Mail Service has agreed to deliver easily breakable fruits like watermelons from this month.

The state-owned mail delivery service is cooperating with Pudong New Area's Agricultural Association in the venture to support local farmers.

Watermelons from the suburban Nanhui area is treasured for its sweet and juicy taste, particularly the famous "8424 Watermelons." But the juicy fruits were often damaged during transportation.
