SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met Rolf Dörig, chairman of Adecco Group, last week. Adecco is the world’s largest employment service company based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Han said human resources are the most important of all resources for Shanghai’s future development and talent is the core factor in Shanghai’s drive to become a global innovation center. The municipal government is improving public services to create an attractive environment for talent.

He said China is continuing reforms and opening and the development in China and Shanghai brings opportunities to human resources companies like Adecco. The city government will create good business environment for domestic and foreign employment agencies.

Dörig said Adecco Group entered the Chinese market six years ago and will expand its presence with Internet technology. The company will focus more on serving micro, small and medium-sized companies in China.

Founded in 1957, Adecco Group is a Fortune 500 company with 5,100 branches and offices in more than 60 countries and regions in the world.
