银杏树下的音乐会   2016-12-12

 

People gather around jazz singer Chen Xiaojun and bass player Michael Hicks yesterday while they play under resplendent golden ginkgo trees in front of Shanghai Concert Hall on Yan’an Road. The annual free outdoor public concert, which started in 2013, is held in early winter when the ginkgo leaves are falling. This year’s concert used old Chinese pop songs dating back to the 1960s as its theme. The songs were played to a jazz accompaniment.
