The curtain fell on the first China International Import Expo last Saturday, but for Qingpu District where it was and will continue to be held, it is just a beginning.
During the event, Qingpu organized the largest purchasing group among 16 groups in the city. On the CIIE's first day, the district signed a US$228 million deal with Sino-US International Helicopter Investment Group.
“CIIE has made us known to the world,” said Xia Kejia, the district's director. “Even before the expo started many companies would seek opportunities here.”
