一苹果供应商涉嫌虐待员工被约谈   2014-12-23

 

LABOR authorities said yesterday they have spoken to an electronics manufacturing company in the Pudong New Area that supplies tech giant Apple Inc after it was accused in a BBC TV program of mistreating its workers.

According to an undercover report by the broadcaster’s Panorama team, Taiwan-based Pegatron Corp “failed to protect workers” at the plant.

Pudong labor officials yesterday visited the factory, but the firm, which employs about 65,000 people, denied the allegations, Shanghai Television reported.
