i-Shanghai无线网络将覆盖更广使用更方便 2015-03-06
THE city’s official Wi-Fi service, i-Shanghai, will be made more accessible and easier to use this year, the local IT regulator said yesterday.
By the end of the year the number of public sites at which the service will be accessible — including bus stops, airports and shopping malls — will double to 900, and will continue to grow to 4,000 by 2020, the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Information Technology said.
Also, a new version of the i-Shanghai app — which is free, but has to be downloaded to access the service — will allow users to log-in much more quickly, the commission said.
