Monthly minimum wage up by 200 yuan   2015-03-31

 

 

Shanghai has raised the monthly minimum wage for full-time employees in the city from 1,820 yuan (US$290) to 2,020 yuan from tomorrow.

The hourly minimum wage for part-time employees, who work for less than four hours a day, or not more than 24 hours a week for a single employer, will go up from 17 yuan to 18 yuan.

The 200-yuan monthly wage hike will also be applicable to full-time staff of special public service programs like river cleaning, forestry maintenance, as well as those involved in community services for the aged and disabled people. They are currently paid around 1,940 yuan per month but will draw a minimum of up to 2,140 yuan from next month.
