Shanghai Disney plants 18-meter Chinese chestnut oak tree 2015-04-07
Shanghai Disney Resort has begun selecting trees and shrubs for its theme park, including an 18-meter Chinese chestnut oak being planted in the Treasure Cove theme area today.
The tree, which was moved from Zhejiang Province, could ultimately grow to over 30 meters and will become the tallest tree in the theme park’s pirate-themed area.
The tree is one of 1,000 trees being planted along with countless bushes and ground cover plants to create an immersive environment for telling stories related to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, the resort announced today.
