SHANGHAI’S metro operator will cut the wait between trains on certain parts of Line 11 this weekend in order to accommodate passengers heading to and from the Formula One race at the Shanghai International Circuit.
The main race starts at 2pm on April 12. From 3pm to 7pm that day, trains will arrive every two-and-a-half minutes between the Jiadingxincheng and Sanlin stations.
Meanwhile, between the Jiadingxincheng and Huaqiao stations, the interval will be cut to 5 minutes and 10 seconds, down from the usual 11 minutes. At the line’s remaining sections, the wait will be 15.5 minutes.
