102 museums offer free admission on Monday 2015-05-15
MORE than 100 of Shanghai’s privately owned museums will open to the public free of charge on Monday to mark International Museum Day.
The Shanghai Auto Museum, Shanghai Museum of Glass and China Maritime Museum are three of the 102 attractions taking part, Chu Xiaobo, deputy director of the Shanghai Cultural Heritage Administration told Shanghai Daily yesterday.
International Museum Day was established in 1977. This year’s theme is “Museums for a Sustainable Society.”
