Shanghai dialect sitcom to debut on Drama Channel 2015-07-02
Shanghai dialect sitcoms have faded out of people's sight for several years now. The genre used to flourish on the radio and TV, often impressing generations of people with humor, sarcasm and distinctive Shanghai culture.
To fill this empty void, a new original Shanghai dialect sitcom titled, "Fun Stories of Old Houses”, will be debuted on the local Drama Channel on July 6.
The sitcom gathers the city's top-notch Shanghai farce artists including Wang Rugang, Mao Mengda and Qian Yi. It will be aired on the evenings of weekdays.
