Father, believed to be trying to help son left behind, forces open train door, delaying Line 9 in rush hours   2015-07-31

 

 

TRAFFIC on Metro Line 9 was delayed about 20 minutes, affecting at least hundreds of commuters, rush hour yesterday morning, after a man forced open a train door, Metro operator said.

Metro operator said they were forced to evacuate the train with the broken door and subsequently, following trains were delayed with prolonged intervals and traffic restrictions and the impact lasted for about 20 minutes since the incident took place around 8:20am. A lot of commuters had complained on Weibo or through Wechat that they got stuck on the trains or platforms during the traffic restrictions.

The reason behind the damage was believed to be the father already boarding the train trying to help his son who was left behind on the platform.
