Mooncake sales set to rocket 2015-08-28
SALES of mooncakes this year are forecast to rise between 8 and 10 percent, the head of a trade group told Shanghai Daily yesterday.
“Sales are expected to pick up this year because the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday are very close together,” said Chen Fengwei, secretary-general of the Shanghai Confectionery Industry Association.
He didn’t explain how the proximity of the two holidays would affect sales.
