Defibrillators being put in public places 2015-09-14
AUTOMATED external defibrillators (AEDs) are being installed in public places to get help quicker to people showing symptoms leading to cardiac arrest.
A total of 310 AEDs are being installed in Pudong International Airport, Metro stations and scenic spots such as Oriental Land in Qingpu District, said the Shanghai branch of the Red Cross Society of China.
These portable automated device can restore normal heart rhythm, preventing brain damage or death.
