THE city's urban planning authority yesterday has unveiled an exhibition along the Huangpu River about the city and its future outlook along with other successful urban planning cases from cities around the world.

The "Urban Evolution" exhibition will run through the end of the year at the Art West Bund exhibition center on Longteng Avenue in Xuhui District. It will display pictures, screen videos and interviews with residents and experts on the evolution of Shanghai and its future development.

Some 40 urban planning cases of New York, Barcelona, Hamburg and Chengdu and Beijing in China will also be displayed through photographs, wooden architectural models and videos.
