Tune in to broadcasting history 2015-10-10
A visitor takes a close look at one of the items on show at the K11 shopping center on Huaihai Road M. in Shanghai yesterday. An exhibition features 50 radios chosen from a collection of about 3,000 radios made during the 1920s-1990s. Shanghai launched the nation’s first radio station on January 23, 1923, less than three years after the world’s first radio station, KDKA, in Pittsburgh.
