SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met with US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken yesterday and said Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the US last month was fruitful. The two countries are building a new type of relationship.

Han said Shanghai is steadfast in carrying out reforms and complying with market rules and international standards. The Shanghai Free Trade Zone has made big progress after two years of operation. China's first negative list for foreign investment was adopted in Shanghai.

The Party leader remarked that Shanghai is the sister city of San Francisco and Chicago. Many American businesses have developed well in Shanghai. Many members of the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai are American corporate leaders. He said China and the US should extend cooperation to all fields.
