Big plans for New Bund area 2015-10-29
THE Pudong New Area government plans to develop the Qiantan Area into the city's next financial center.
The high-end locality will also have a residential area for 25,000 residents, many of whom are expected to be foreigners, said Tao Jianwen, general manager of the New Bund business district investment group.
Lying on the south of the former Expo 2010 site, Qiantan will make up for some of the design flaws when the city's first financial hub, Lujiazui, took shape. It will be more friendly for people in the community, Tao said.
