China's first 3D Peking Opera film on show at local cinemas 2016-02-26
THE 3D Peking Opera film "Farewell My Concubine," the first 3D high-definition opera movie in the history of Chinese cinema will be exhibited in the city's New Hengshan Cinema, Westa Cinema and Duoyunxuan Cinema throughout March.
Starring veteran Peking Opera artists Shang Changrong and Shi Yihong, the film tells a love story between Xiang Yu and his beloved concubine Yu Ji. Earlier this year, the film was given an award for "Live Broadcast Music Entertainment" by the International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society.
