Australia's digital gateway celebrates a year in China 2016-04-14
THIS week, Australia is being showcased throughout China during the Australia Week in China celebrations which feature a trade delegation of over 1,000 Australian corporate and government delegates led by Australian Trade and Investment Minister Steven Ciobo. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will join the delegation in Shanghai today before flying onto Beijing. Many activities during the week will focus on improving insights, understanding and engagement between the two countries.
Coinciding with Australia Week is the first anniversary of the launch of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) information-rich China web portal AustraliaPlus.cn, which was established in 2015 in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. The website provides stories and information in Chinese language, with a strong focus on Australia education, business, property, travel and visas, health, lifestyle, innovation and culture. AustraliaPlus.cn is hosted in China, which means its performance is highly optimized for audiences seeking quick and easy access to content.
