Night cycling becomes popular: over 60% of bike sharing users are post-80s and 90s   2022-09-20

Cycling has set off a national craze this year. Recently, Meituan Bike released its annual carbon reduction report card. The data shows that Meituan shared bike users have reduced potential carbon emissions by 436,500 tons in the past year, and a total of 502 users have achieved the small goal of reducing their sole carbon emissions by 1 ton.

It is worth noting that riverfront cycling is gradually becoming popular among the public in Shanghai, and posting photos of cycling results on their Wechat moments has become a popular pastime. According to the data, post-80s and 90s users account for more than 60% of the total riders enjoying cycling around Shanghai at night. Xuhui Riverside, Daxue Road in the Wujiaochang area, and Fumin Road have become areas of hot demand for night-time cycling.
