CIIE exhibitors begin booth setup, first batch of exhibits arrive 2022-10-24
Several exhibitors of the fifth China International Import Expo started setting up their booths on Monday as the first batch of eight exhibits were moved into the venue.
The exhibits are from seven companies and comprise a bending machine from Japanese machinery manufacturer Amada, a recreational vehicle chassis from Italian vehicle brand Iveco, a GMC Hummer pure electric SUV from General Motors, three medical devices from Siemens Medical Systems and GE Healthcare, a machining center from Swiss machine tool brand Starrag Group and a new fuel cell by Canadian fuel energy company Loop Energy.
All exhibits will be disinfected before entering the venue and the construction of booths and arrangement of exhibits will be finished by Nov 2, said Feng Jianhui, the senior logistic manager of the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
Koji Yamamoto, chairman of the board and general manager of Amada China, said the company, which has participated in the expo twice, has seen a big boost in its sales of its automation products in China.
This year, the Japanese company has brought its new fully automatic sheet metal bending processing system, the EG-6013AR.
"The CIIE is a platform that showcases advanced technologies and products of foreign companies," said Yamamoto. "We are very honored to attend the expo and hope to meet more Chinese customers through the fair."
Starrag, which will be participating in the CIIE for the fourth time, has brought its top product, the Bumotec s191, a 7-axis five-link milling-turning compound machining center equipped with the latest linear motor drive.
Loop Energy, which will be participating in the CIIE for the first time, will launch Asian debut of its S1200 series of next generation fuel cell products, which are considered a major breakthrough in the hydrogen energy industry and commercial transportation industry.
Meanwhile, Italian company Iveco is set to showcase its Daily series of green vehicle solutions to meet the growing needs of the experiential tourism market and the modified car market in China, according to Luo Mei, marketing director of Iveco China.
"As the first international commercial vehicle manufacturer to enter the Chinese market, Iveco has participated in the rapid development of the local automotive sector over the past decades," said Luo "The brand will continue to work closely with local partners and is committed to serving local customers with upgraded products and innovative technology."
