Shanghai’s first reading corner for foreign experts 2022-10-26
There are more than 1,700 books available in more than 20 languages, including Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Russian and Japanese, on such topics about China as politics, history, economy, culture, society and diplomacy. It will offer foreign experts and professionals in Fengxian and across Shanghai a genuine and full picture of China. It is hoped that the books will serve as a medium for telling China’s stories to the international community as well as an access to China’s voice, promoting in-depth exchange between Chinese and foreign people, international cooperation in technology and mutual learning while enhancing the international image of Fengxian District.
The reading corner will be a public service platform for introducing talent and promoting communication, with diverse innovative activities to extend its functions, such as reading groups, social clubs, lectures and salons, in addition to borrowing books and drinking coffee. It will be a place for the international professionals in Fengxian and across Shanghai to relax, communicate and learn.
