Porsche, Cadillac, 13 Other Marques Make 22 China Debuts at CIIE 2022-11-07

Some 15 car brands, including Cadillac, Ford Motor, Porsche, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and General Motors, have introduced 22 new models to the Chinese market during the China International Import Expo.

Honda Motor unveiled a concept car based on its battery electric vehicle Honda e:N for the first time globally at the ongoing expo held in Shanghai.

Ford is showcasing its all-electric pickup truck F-150 Lighting and sport-utility vehicle Ford Bronco for the first time in China.

Cadillac’s ultra-luxury electric hatchback Celestiq made its Asian debut at the expo.

Porsche’s electric racing vehicle Mission R is on display for the first time in Asia at the event. The vehicle can speed up from zero to 100 kilometers per hour within 2.5 seconds and reach a speed of over 300 km/h.

The expo also has unmanned vehicles such as this one that is jointly developed by Japan's Toyota Motor and Chinese tech giant Baidu.

Tesla brought its Tesla Bot invention to the event. The 73-kilogram humanoid robot can walk, climb stairs, and fetch items and it is designed to perform unsafe or repetitive tasks at work.
