Patrol ship, icebreaker open to public in Shanghai to celebrate China Maritime Day 2023-07-12

Several salvaging and scientific expedition vessels were opened to the public at the International Cruise Terminal in Shanghai on Tuesday, so as to celebrate the 19th China Maritime Day. The vessels included patrol ship Haixun-01, polar icebreaker Xuelong-2 and large cruise “Shencheng Light.” Citizens could board and visit the vessels for free to learn more about shipping and maritime culture. A maritime-themed carnival, containing interactive activities and first aid at sea, was also held on the same day at the cruise terminal.
