The fastest high-speed train developed by CRRC

CRRC Corporation Limited, the nation's sole industrial group for rail transit equipment, secured contracts worth US$200 million at the 8th China International Import Expo.

The deals involved ten subsidiary companies that sign agreements with 18 overseas suppliers from countries including Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and Japan, according to the group.

"We organized relevant subsidiaries in advance to connect with internationally renowned exhibitors like Siemens, Hitachi Energy, ABB, and Schneider Electric, to ascertain procurement needs and engage in in-depth discussions with them," said Lin Cungeng, vice president of China CRRC.

Beyond commercial achievements, the centerpiece of CRRC's exhibition was the model of its latest research breakthrough: the CR450 Electric Multiple Unit.

This next-generation high-speed train is engineered to reach a test speed of 450 kilometers per hour, with an operational speed targeted at 400 kph, positioning it as the fastest high-speed rail in the world upon commercial deployment.

With a history spanning 144 years, CRRC stands as a leading high-end equipment manufacturer and system solutions provider focused on clean energy equipment.

The group's product portfolio has a global presence, serving 116 countries and regions across six continents.

"Looking ahead, we will plan to advance the research, development, and application of major new products, including the intelligent intercity trains and the metro trains," said Lin.

"The company aims to develop higher cost-performance urban transit system solutions and accelerate research and development in new energy commercial vehicles to build a more convenient and efficient public transportation network."
