Exhibition on green energy and zero-carbon opens in Shanghai   2025-11-13

An exhibition centered on green energy and zero-carbon opened today in Shanghai.

The municipal government has been emphasizing green initiatives and sustainability in its development plans.

The exhibition is being held at the Shanghai Scientific Energy Conservation Exhibition Hall in Hongkou District and will run for six months.

The 1,500-square-meter exhibition space showcases roughly 100 green and low-carbon application scenarios from more than 50 companies.

These solutions are routed through four essential paths: green energy, carbon sequestration, energy savings and recycling, and smart computing platforms, all aimed at achieving a shared zero-carbon goal.

It demonstrates innovative breakthroughs, such as zero-carbon industrial parks from China's Power Construction Corporation, Shanghai Electric's green hydrogen and green methanol equipment, Shenergy Group's energy-saving equipment and recycling technologies, and carbon dioxide capture and utilization technology from Baowu, China's largest steel manufacturer.

Yu Zengsheng, director of the Shanghai Energy Conservation Center, said that the exhibition will serve as a platform to integrate resources in green design, technology, services, and finance.

The objective is to establish a long-lasting, transparent, and professional platform for businesses, encouraging collaborative win-win partnerships, translating the exhibition's outcomes into tangible new green momentum, and promoting sustainable development and zero-carbon solutions.
