The 2025 Brain-Computer Interface Conference is set to take place from Dec 4 to 5 at Shanghai's first BCI industrial cluster zone.

As part of the Pujiang Innovation Forum series events, the conference aims to showcase the latest advances in BCI technology, industrial integration, and ecosystem development.

The conference will have a main forum, a BCI developer conference, a BCI competition, an exhibition, eight sub-forums, and multiple product launches.

As a highlight of the event, the BCI competition will unfold in four categories, namely emotion recognition, fatigue monitoring, brain-controlled robotic arms, and brain-controlled car racing.

The contests will evaluate the stability and precision of BCI systems under simulated real-world conditions. Of the 63 teams that registered, 40 have advanced to the finals.

With participants averaging just 25 years old, the competition offers a platform to nurture emerging innovators.

The inaugural BCI developer conference will bring together technical experts to share tools, datasets, and hardware customization solutions.

As the only forum focusing on investment and financing during the conference, the Investment Cooperation Sub-forum is dedicated to building a new "trinity" development paradigm for the BCI industry that integrates technology, capital, and clinical practice.

During the sub-forum, a brain science technology and talent map will be released, providing guidance for overseas Chinese scientists seeking development opportunities in China. Roadshow events featuring early-stage projects across six specialized areas, including BCI electrodes, chips, and ultrasound technologies, will be held.

Launched in June 2025, the BCI industrial cluster zone in Minhang district has established concept-validation, testing, and other platforms, attracting nearly 20 leading enterprises and startups to base themselves there.

By integrating research and development, incubation, and clinical application, the cluster aims to form a complete chain from technological breakthrough to commercialization.
