City seeks input on public areas revamp work 2016-05-09
THE city's top planning body is inviting local architects, artists and landscape designers to give public areas in some old residential communities a facelift, officials said over the weekend.
Eleven communities built in the 1970s will be the first neighborhoods to have their green spaces, parking and rest areas revamped, an official with the Shanghai Planning, Land and Resources Administration said.
The designers and artists will publicize their plans in June to solicit public input and the renovations will be completed by the end of the year.
