Fennec foxes to meet visitors on Children's Day at Shanghai Zoo 2016-06-01
SEVEN fennec foxes, native to North Africa, will meet visitors at the Shanghai Zoo for the first time on Children's Day.
Fennec foxes have large ears which can dissipate heat. These fennec foxes, including two males, are timid because they are newcomers to the zoo. They are fed with ground beef, eggs, sliced apples and mealworm.
The zoo has recently renovated an area for children, where these fennec foxes and nine meerkats will greet visitors.
