A virtual city tour of the Party's iconic sites 2016-06-27
EXPLORING the Communist Party of China's rich and colorful history in Shanghai has become much easier with the launch yesterday of an electronic map that takes users on a virtual tour of the city's sites of revolutionary significance.
The map, which was launched by the Urban Culture Research Institute of the Shanghai Normal University and the Humanism Memorial Museum of Fushouyuan Cemetery to mark the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party on July 1, takes people along three separate routes.
The late Chen Duxiu, one of the founders of the Communist Party of China, takes people to Lane 119 Taicang Road, where he founded the journal "Youth," in 1915 which later became "New Youth," and Lane 100 Nanchang Road, where he met the revolutionary leaders Mao Zedong and Yu Xiusong in 1920 to discuss the founding of the Party.
