City landmarks to be redeveloped 2016-07-11
SHANGHAI'S top planning body is seeking urban design ideas as authorities look to beautify downtown landmarks.
The Shanghai Planning, Land and Resources Administration launched a global campaign entitled "2016 Shanghai Urban Design Challenge" over the weekend, inviting both professional designers and amateurs to redevelop Xujiahui and Hengshan-Fuxing roads in Xuhui District, the banks of Suzhou Creek and the Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park in Pudong New Area.
The administration will publish basic information related to the area like geology, land usage, constructions, traffic information and population.
