Scientific inventions on show 2016-07-18
An exhibition on science and technology opened in Shanghai yesterday with more than 100 students from six countries participating in the event. The biannual event has students' scientific inventions on display and a forum on scientific education at the Qian Xuesen Library and Museum in Xuhui District. Zhao Yuejiao from Shanghai Jianping High School has developed a product which uses centrifugal force in a rotating cylinder to dry umbrellas. Liew Kai Yi and Nicholas Goh Jun Xian from Singapore's River Valley High School presented a device that simplifies cleaning work in canteens. The participating students will also visit the Shanghai Natural History Museum and the Yuyuan Garden.
