Mayor meets visiting Portuguese prime minister 2016-10-12
SHANGHAI Mayor Yang Xiong met the visiting Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa and his delegation on Monday.
Yang said that Shanghai and Portugal have sound cooperation ties and Shanghai became sister city of Porto Municipality as early as 1995. World Expo Shanghai 2010 also learned from Lisbon World Expo during preparation.
The mayor said that Shanghai residents love Portuguese food and soccer teams and Shanghai and Portugal have great cooperation potential as the city and the Iberian country's economic and trade ties continue to develop.
