THE two astronauts on the Shenzhou-11 mission will be wearing clothes designed at Shanghai's Donghua University.

After two decades of research, the university has come up with outfits suitable for work, exercise and leisure in space and during training on Earth.

They were designed not only for special functions, such as protection in a gravity-free environment, but also with Chinese characteristic elements.
