The Left Bank, the Thames? Or Shanghai's new riverside rival 2016-10-19
HUANGPU River is to become one of the world's top riverside areas — on a par with the Left Bank in Paris and London's Thames walkways — when the city's plans come to fruition.
Uninterrupted pedestrian paths will be created alongside Huangpu River by the end of next year, the city's top planning body said yesterday.
New parks, art galleries and preserved historic buildings will also be part of the riverbank upgrading.
