Agriculture future is to be eco-friendly 2016-10-28
SHANGHAI aims to get more than 70 percent of locally produced agricultural products to be organic and pollution-free, officials said.
The details of building up eco-friendly agriculture, ensuring the good quality and safety of products, are contained in the 13th Five-Year (2016-2020) Plan on Shanghai's agriculture development issued yesterday.
The city will stop using chemical fertilizer and find more effective ways to recycle straw, both big pollution sources in agriculture, the plan said.
