Outer Ring Road greenbelt gets under way with Baoshan opening 2016-12-14
THE Fengxiang Road greenbelt in Baoshan District opened to the public yesterday, marking the start of the city’s 112-kilometer outer ring road “greenway” project.
The project, comprising cycle paths, jogging lanes and walkways, follows the route of the Outer Ring Road. It is scheduled to be finished by 2020.
The greenbelt has the appearance of a small wetland park. It features plants such as soapberries, plane trees and redwoods. They present an enchanting view with a mix of red, gold and yellow hues.
