Shanghai rail terminals braced for Spring Festival 2016-12-15
SECURITY measures at Shanghai’s railway terminals have been strengthened as the annual massive domestic transportation upheaval before the Spring Festival, or Chinese lunar New Year, begins in a month’s time.
Police said yesterday that all bags deposited at railway stations would be examined and all luggage would go through security checks.
Police will step up checks on luggage taken onto trains as well as examining iron objects and liquor brought on board.
