New course for culture   2017-03-09

 

 

A SPECIAL department for overseas Chinese was established yesterday at the Shanghai Open University.

The Overseas Chinese College of Shanghai, jointly run by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office in Shanghai and the university, is the first of its kind in China to serve the demand for lifelong study among returned overseas Chinese and the relatives of overseas Chinese who remain in the Chinese mainland.

The new college will organize training on Chinese language, lectures on Chinese culture and international exchanges for overseas Chinese.
