Qingming is coming, so are the jams 2017-03-14
CITY traffic will be worse than normal between March 25 and April 4 as an estimated 8 million people pay respects to departed family at cemeteries for Qinqming.
Qinqming falls on April 4 and the more than 8.2 million people visiting cemeteries are expected to bring an extra 880,000 vehicles onto the roads over the 11 days, the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau said.
The peak will be April 2-4, during the Qingming holiday, when almost five million are expected to sweep tombs.
