Traffic violations caught on car cameras 2017-05-05
RESIDENTS have uploaded 70,000 video clips of traffic violations in the past 12 months to the Shanghai traffic police’s web portal and app.
Illegal lane changing was the offense most frequently recorded on in-car video cameras, accounting for 45 percent of clips, police said yesterday. They added that illegal parking was the offense that attracted the most complaints submitted to the police’s mobile app “Shanghai Jiaojing,” accounting for 35 percent.
Other frequently reported offenses were driving in the wrong lane and motor vehicles using bike lanes.
