Doors on the bus go round and round 2017-05-09
BUSES with doors on both sides will be ready around the beginning of October to connect with passengers taking the No.71 bus that runs under Yan’an Elevated Road.
Chen Lin, vice general manager of Shanghai Bus Co, said yesterday that the new service would help passengers more conveniently transfer between bus lines. Currently they had to walk across Yan’an Road or an overpass to take another bus.
With doors on both sides, the new buses will open doors street-side as usual, except on Yan’an Road when picking up passengers. Then the other doors will be brought into play as there is no street-side exit on the Yan’an Road route.
